The people who can explain their patterns in detail are often the ones still stuck in them.
That is not irony. It is brain wiring.
Today on Chatter we talked about why insight does not create behavior change. Why years of therapy or coaching can sometimes make you better at describing the pattern, without changing it. And why the most stuck people are often the most self aware.
Awareness lives in the prefrontal cortex.
Your patterns live deeper. In the systems that run survival and automatic behavior.
These systems do not update each other just because you “get it.”
So you can understand yourself perfectly.
And still react the same way under pressure.
